Step One

Discovery

It starts with a conversation.

Before anything else, we want to understand who you are, how you live, and what you're hoping to build. In our initial Discovery meeting, we'll explore your vision, priorities, timeline, and budget. There are no wrong answers. This conversation sets the foundation for everything that follows.

Step Two

Site & Design

Your home starts taking shape.

If you haven't found your lot yet, we'll help. We have deep knowledge of available properties across Michiana and Southwest Michigan. Once your site is identified, our lead architect drives the design process — translating your vision into plans that are beautiful, livable, and buildable.

  • Lot sourcing and evaluation (if needed)

Step Three

Selections

The details that make it yours.

This is where your home moves from plans to personality. Working with our included interior design partner, you'll select finishes, fixtures, materials, and features — guided by a professional who knows how to balance vision, budget, and long-term livability. Every selection is documented and organized, so nothing gets lost.

Step Four

Pre-Construction

We align on every detail before a single nail is driven.

Before construction begins, we finalize pricing, execute contracts, secure permits, and schedule trades. By the time we break ground, every major decision has been made and every key team member knows their role. No surprises. No scrambling mid-build.

Step Five

Build

Your home comes to life — and you're with us every step.

Construction begins with your full team in place and a clear schedule in hand. Throughout the build, you'll have access to your personal BuilderTrend client portal — a real-time window into your project showing progress updates, job site photos, schedules, documents, and direct communication in one organized place.

Your dedicated Client Experience Director is your point of contact throughout: your advocate, your liaison, and your first call anytime you have a question.

  • Site visits at key milestones

Step Six

Completion

The moment it all comes together.

As construction wraps, we conduct a thorough final walkthrough together — reviewing every room, every finish, and every system. Any items that need attention go on a punch list and get resolved before we hand over the keys. Move-in day should feel like a celebration.

After Move-In
